The asphalt has deteriorated over approximately 50 meters along the southern boundary of the carriageway. Although it was previously repaired, the deterioration has recurred in the same area. It is recommended that the engineers apply a sealant with hot bitumen along the edge of the patched section to prevent surface water ingress, which could freeze and expand during winter, potentially causing further damage to the repaired asphalt.
