Unclear road markings

Sent to Rutland County Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 9129725.

The road markings are not clear. Three times recently I've found someone trying to turn right onto the A606 towards Stamford from Normanton Park Road from the wrong side of the road. Some drivers seem to be unfamiliar with the road and assume that the lane splits into a left turn lane and a right turn lane when in fact the right hand side is for people turning off the A606 onto Normanton Park Road from the Empingham side.

Updates

  • Empingham parish council have asked RCC Highways to urgently look at this. An Inspector is investigating and will report back with recommendations as we’ve asked them to look at improved signage too. The white lines are a priority though.
