Sent to Rutland County Council 2 days, 18 hours, 34 minutes later. FixMyStreet ref: 9496820.
The trees and vegetation at the rear of our properties has been unattended to for years.they trim and cut the side on the footpath but never bother about the trees over hanging our gardens and the height of them, also the poisenous laurel trees which are getting bigger and bigger, the weeds are over taking our fences and sheds in some places. As our council tax has gone up and the council seem flush with cash, could they put some in the forestry dept and sort this problem out. Also with climate change, hot dry spells there is also the risk of fire so close in places to our propertise.

These trees and shrubs will be assessed in response to this enquiry. NB: landowners are not required to cut back vegetation on the grounds of overhanging a garden or being tall. RCC will not cut trees on these grounds, however, landowners are legally entitled to undertake cutting back overhanging branches providing they do not cut beyond their boundary line and dispose of the cuttings.
