Over growing hedge is severely restricting safe use of the footpath. Tonight my dog and I ended up in the road having lost our footing. This is an accident waiting to happen. I can see it has been reported already without action. This is urgent!

    This problem has become worse following the recent heavy rain. It is no longer possible to walk along the footpath without pushing the hedge aside. The B668 is narrow here and the road is used by many quarry lorries daily. It is certainly a safety hazard. Could we please have action urgently or explain why it has not been done.

  • This situation has not been attended to. The hedge is overgrown to the extent people are walking on the road into a blind bend. This is an accident waiting to happen!! Rutland Council, you need to attend to this urgently.

    The hedge has been cut back today, not by RCC but by a concerned local villager who was concerned about people including children having to walk in the road. That an accident hasn’t happened is a miracle. RCC ought to be ashamed of themselves but should consider regular routine maintenance to prevent a repeat.
