Overgrown verge preventing visibility for vehicles on Brooke Road

The verge on Brooke Road in Oakham consisted for many years of neatly cut grass (we have photographs showing this, dating back to 1980). Since the building of the new development in Rill Close, the verge has been churned up and seeded supposedly with wild flowers. In actual fact, the verge is now an absolute eyesore made up of weeds including thistles and Galium aparine. This has grown up against nearby privately owned hedges and property boundaries. The weeds are now of such a height that they are obscuring the exit from the driveway of nearby properties. It is extremely dangerous to try to pull out onto Brooke road in a vehicle as there is no visibility. When will this issue be addressed by the council and therefore ensure safe visibility for drivers?
